Nineteen of the Russian's 21 victories have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Daniil Medvedev claimed his maiden trophy for over two years with victory over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- top-ranked player, has endured a difficult year, winning just a single victory at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the New York tournament.
Medvedev's varied form on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in especial - led to him falling of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term mentor Gilles Cervara.
Presently training with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
It is Medvedev's maiden title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
Success also signifies he has won twenty-one championships at 21 various tournaments.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a event with my both daughters at once, so to get a trophy is especially meaningful," commented world number 14 the champion.
"This victory is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I won when my older daughter my daughter was born was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had been defeated in his past six championship matches, featuring in that event earlier this year.
The player's retrieving strategy and recurring outbursts on court had caused some to doubt if his skill to play at the highest level was over.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in the last few weeks, attempting to come to the net and compete positively, supported by an improved serve.
The champion came back from a disadvantage in the opening set against the difficult Moutet, winning four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
The competitors swapped service breaks in the second set before Moutet, attempting for his first tour title, gained dominance to create a third set.
Moutet defended 4 early chances in a competitive third set before the champion secured a break to that score to secure the win.
Fittingly, he clinched victory with a shot at the net, with the Frenchman incapable to control a shot after over two and a half hours.
